Allegations made against Allseas Group

I was recently approached by a party who made serious allegations against the Swiss-based Allseas Group, “a global leader in offshore pipeline installation and subsea construction.”

Someone appears to have put a considerable effort into putting forward a detailed set of allegations supported by extensive documentary evidence. That does not mean the allegations are true.

The source of the allegations drew my attention to Allseas links with Royal Dutch Shell.

In this connection, we have previously published leaked emails sent to Allseas by Shell EP Ireland in respect of the Corrib Gas Project. On 9 September 2008, Maura Harrington, a leading figure in the Shell to Sea campaign went on hunger strike in protest at the arrival of the Solitaire, an Allseas pipe-laying ship assisting in the Corrib project.

We are aware of the outcry over the proposed naming of a giant Allseas ship after a Nazi, a member of the Nazi Waffen SS.

I assume the source contacted me because I have published extensive information and evidence about Royal Dutch Shell and its relationship with Hitler and the Nazis.

I decided to put the allegations directly to Allseas and supplied them with many of the documents provided.

I received an interesting self-explanatory response printed below. There was no comment on the authenticity of the documents, just a blanket denial from a senior person at Allseas along with threats of legal action. Whats the betting that lawyers were involved in drafting the comment supplied in quotes for publication?

Since my activities are focused on Shell, not Allseas, and I do not have the time or the expertise to investigate the allegations (and also bearing in mind the blanket denial by Allseas), I will not publish the unsubstantiated allegations or the associated documents.

I will however pass on the entire information to an investigative journalist.
