– Incorrect invoices
– Backdated price increases
– Customer Service who ignore communications
– Refusal to provide full details of the tariff I was on
– An IT system which could not correctly download any bills
– An IT system which will not allow me to enter meter readings.
– An IT system with insecure login
– Payments listed on my account but not credited to my account.

Those are just a few of their screw-ups during the first 9 months with Shell Energy which could not organise a p***-up in a brewery!

There are ways to deal with companies such as this. One is to warn others of the problems on Trustpilot. Another is to tell the company they will not get paid until they respond to and resolve problems – this seems to get their attention (eventually).

Poor service

Poor service, was so bad after 9 months I decided to leave. They charged me an exit fee which I paid just so I could move and get decent internet. Then they wanted the router back which I posted with their return lable. Now they say they didn’t receive it and charged me £35. I have sent them the post office receipt so lets see what they come up with now. All feels like a bit of a scam to me. How many people do they do this to? If you haven’t got time to sort out they shortcomings or if you lose the receipt, you will lose £35. The router is the cheapest possible probably only worth £5 anyway. Here is hoping to get some of my money back and salvage something from this terrible situation. Needless to say – Not recomended.

They like your money very much

I moved out of my house. Provided final readings. Move to new supplier at new house. Shell think it appropriate to hold onto my refund for 8 weeks after final bill generation, even though the bill was paid for out of the account credit. This is outrageous and tantamount to theft of the interest I could earn on the refund. No reasonable explanation coming from Shell who simply do not care. STAY AWAY.
