DO NOT BUY fibrebroadband from these people. We are now 21 days past the go live date. Still not live. It is impossible to get to talk to some one so far I have been in ques for a total of over 9 hours. Still waiting for email enquiry to be answered 5 days after sending mesage to ask when Fibre will be installed?
“Broadband still not working after 6 weeks.”: “Straight away I noticed how slow the speed was and how long it took to connect to sites. Tried to call Shell, but could not get through, tried emails but no reply…”: Absolutely terrible service and bully boy tactics.”: “I would strongly advise people to avoid Shell”

Was switched to shell when previous company went bust. shell by far are the worst company I have ever delt with. 2 visits to fit a smart meter. Sending me a letter saying they have to increase my direct debit to over £400 a month way UNDER my usage.as I will not pay a ridiculous amount each month I cancelled the direct debit and simply pay each month for actual energy used not a penny more not a penny left. Shell have marked my credit file a month in arrears.but not updated it for over 3 months. Customer service is awful they simply too big to care as soon as I am able to switch I will be leaving my money be better spent elsewhereread more
The prize for “MOST USELESS COMPANY ON THE PLANET” goes to ……. SHELL ENERGY
– Incorrect invoices – Backdated price increases – Customer Service who ignore communications – Refusal to provide full details of the tariff I was on – An IT system which could not correctly download any bills – An IT system which will not allow me to enter meter readings. – An IT system with insecure login – Payments listed on my account but not credited to my account.read more
Shell says its Nigeria asset sale not affected by court ruling
ABUJA, June 21 (Reuters) – Shell Plc (SHEL.L) has said its planned sale of onshore assets in Nigeria will go ahead and was not affected by a Supreme Court ruling in a case in which a Niger Delta community is seeking compensation for a 2019 oil spill.
Bamidele Odugbesan, spokesman for Shell in Nigeria, said the June 16 Supreme Court ruling was in response to an appeal launched by Shell against a contempt ruling linked to the dispute with the Niger Delta community.
The lawyer for the community said the ruling, which was made public on Monday, barred Shell from disposing its assets as ordered by a lower court in March.
“The Supreme Court ruling on 16 June was with respect to the contempt proceedings and not related to (the) onshore portfolio review,” Odugbesan said.
Shell has invited bids for its onshore assets. Odugbesan did not say how many bids had been received.
Eighty-eight communities in Rivers state were awarded $1.95 billion compensation for an oil spill they blamed on Shell and which damaged their farms and waterways. Shell denies causing the spill. read moreread more

After they wanted to increase my monthly payment from £31 to £43 I decided to finish I was ask to return my Router in the pre payed bag at the post office & I got a recipe with a tracking number & a few days later it was delivered. But I received 2 emails saying I hadn’t returned it, I said you are wrong & gave them the tracking number & it’s taken 2 weeks to admit I was right. I did stop my direct debit otherwise they would have taken £30. I’m now with NOW TV at £21 a month & twice the Broadland speed.read more
Excellent “non” service from Shell Energy.Have been trying customer number all day to speak to their broadband section. I keep on getting “due to unforeseen circumstances “ messages advising us to phone later. This is not acceptable trying to deal with a company that doesn’t have a contingency plan set up. Poor show and cheerio as I will be voting with my feet.read more
Worse mistake was to take on Shell broadband. They are rip off company. You are given a service blindly. You have a 2 week “cooling off” period but thats BEFORE u have a service. This should go against consumer rights. Stuck with a company i do not want otherwise its £300 to cancel. What a p@ss take. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND SHELL BROADBAND IN ANY WAY OR SHAPE! stinging me for £35 for a router they did not clearly state needed to be returned. 3 phone calls later and they still charging me. Its a mickey mouse company whose logo is ” rip as many people off as possible. Steal their money and make it impossible for ppl to cancel. Charlatans, daylight robbery. It may be a cheaper provider but this is the reason why. I agreed 21.99 only to find they are charging me 23.99. Another compliant still no feedback. DO NOT TAKE ON SHELL BROADBAND.read more

Aloof and callous. Truly a faceless organisation. Deliberately falsified billing information: Shell Enery intentionally perverted submitted & photographed meter reading for 1st June – falsely and covertly substantially increased the meter read.read more
I find it ironic that Shell Energy has branched into telecoms as they are utterly hopeless in terms of communication. Long waiting times on the phone (30+ minutes is not unusual), listening to elevator music and some chap telling you how important your call is and that someone will be with you soon (I would like to know SE’s definitions of important and soon); e-mails that go unanswered apart from an automated response: a webchat facility which is not available at 11.30 am (too early? too late?); an over-reliance on Facebook and Twitter which is absolutely no use to someone with no broadband or someone who is not interested in social media; letters which take 10-14 days to arrive based on the date at the top of the letter (snail mail?). Communication is definitely NOT SE’s forte.read more
LONDON, June 14 (Reuters) – JPMorgan Chase (JPM.N) has won a London High Court battle against Nigeria, which was seeking $1.7 billion in damages over the U.S. bank’s role in a disputed 2011 oilfield deal.
JPMorgan said the judgment reflected its commitment to acting with high professional standards everywhere it operates, while Nigeria said it was disappointed and would review the judgment carefully before considering its next steps.read more
Terrible company, poor customer relations, threatening text messages when I have upped my direct debit with them every month and make one off payments which they don’t seem to apply to my account. It is impossible to speak to a human being, you have to leave your account number and phone number on an automated line with a promise of a call back that never comes. I have done an online enquiry form disputing what I am paying and don’t even get an acknowledgement. I have so far paid them £511 this month alone yet my balance has gone up not down. This company are an absolute joke!! The sooner I can move supplier the better. I am only with them because pure planet went bust and I was automatically moved to shell. They clearly can’t cope with the new volume of customers but are more than happy to take our money!read more

Shell Enters Tender For Wind Farm Development In Polish Offshore
by Bojan Lepic | Rigzone Staff | Tuesday, June 14, 2022
Shell subsidiary Amber Baltic Wind has submitted bids under a recent public tender for proposals for new locations for offshore wind farms in the Polish zone of the Baltic Sea.
According to WindEurope, installations generating up to 28 GW of offshore wind energy may be built in the Polish part of the Baltic Sea by 2050. Thanks to many years of experience in the implementation of complex offshore projects in the North Sea, considerable potential, and knowledge in the field of offshore wind energy, and a wide presence in Poland, Shell can support Poland in using its huge wind energy resources and accelerating the transformation process of the energy mix.read more
